Self-described as the "bubbly, joking one in the triple-jump" Tiombé Hurd has jumped into the track & field role she has been striving for. In 2003 she left a full-time job as a hotel systems administrator and dedicated herself to training full-time for the triple jump. That dedication has paid off. Tiombé won the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials and qualified for her first U.S. Olympic Team with an American record of 47'5".
